About

Goodspeed & Company is a small design, installation and garden maintenance company that has been in existence for almost 20 years. After leaving corporate life, Kate Goodspeed, co-owner of Goodspeed & Company continues to work in the tristate area as well as New England. The company has been involved in constructing annual containers, perennial borders, native American meadows to entire landscapes, including patios, pools, custom designed wrought iron fencing, drainage and retaining walls.

The company is comprised of 7 women who all have been trained in the horticulture business. Landscape subcontractor, Todd Karas of Lush Acres and Sal Triano of Crossland Engineering have been instrumental in the larger processes when necessary.

Various gardens designed by Goodspeed and Company have been on private garden tours. The last garden was located in Upper Grandview New York, and was part of the Perennial Plant Association Tour. The international association had chosen New York as their destination and gardens included in the tour were at Central Park, The Cloisters, the New York Botanical Gardens and Wave Hill. Only two private gardens were on the tour and Bella Guardo, in Upper Grandview was one.

Goodspeed & Company is dedicated to considerate care and service of garden design. We are interested in your gardening needs from roof tops to native gardens. Our priority is creating your garden to fit your personality and your desires.

During our consultation we will walk through your garden and discuss your personal thoughts and what you envision. The meeting will take approximately an hour and a half. Following our discussion, we can decide whether to implement a design for your future outdoor living, or whether your questions have been answered during this consultation.
